Fort Lauderdale, Florida Feb 7, 2025 (Issuewire.com) - JM Family Enterprises Presents The 2nd Annual Red Shield Regatta: Making Waves Against Homelessness in Broward County.
In response to the critical challenges facing Broward County where 2,469 individuals experience homelessness and over 220,130 residents face food insecurity The Salvation Army of Broward County announces its 2nd Annual Red Shield Regatta, presented by JM Family Enterprises. This transformative event will take place on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at "The Park" at JM Family Enterprises in Deerfield Beach.
"In a community where every $100 rent increase leads to a 9% rise in homelessness, and with over 5,000 active eviction cases, our mission has never been more crucial," says Major Juan Guadalupe, Area Commander for The Salvation Army of Broward County. "The Red Shield Regatta isn't just a fundraiser it's a lifeline for thousands of our neighbors in crisis."
With an ambitious fundraising goal of $500,000, the event's impact will be immediate and substantial. For perspective, funds raised will provide:
