Call for Submissions: “Best in Business 2026” Book Celebrates the Front-Runners of Small Business

In partnership with Ocotillo Wells Publishing, the team behind the BASA Awards® invites small business owners to share their stories and apply for a coveted spot in this highly anticipated hardcover and paperback publication, launching in November 2025.

Best in Business 2026 is more than just a book; it's a tribute to the innovators, visionaries, and changemakers redefining what it means to run a small business. Featuring up to 100 exceptional entrepreneurs from across the USA, Canada, the UK, and Australia, the publication will highlight those who have turned big ideas into thriving enterprises, powered by grit, creativity, and heart.

From local cafés and niche retailers to pioneering service providers, Best in Business 2026 showcases the small business heroes who lead with purpose and create lasting impact, said Anna Stella, President of the BASA Awards®. Submissions Now Open

Best in Business 2026 entries are now open until August 20, 2025. The Expert Council will review submissions and select the most deserving entries. There is no cost to apply, but the program is open only to 2025 BASA Awards® nominees.

To apply, applicants should visit the Ocotillo Wells Publishing website to submit their company information and share their story.

How it Works

• After nominating their business for the 2025 BASA Awards®, applicants must complete the Book Submission Form on the Ocotillo Wells website (this is separate from the BASA Awards® entry).

• They will then review and sign the publishing agreement.

• Applicants will collaborate with the editorial team to refine and approve their story.

• The Expert Council will make the final selections.

• If selected, their story will appear in the official Best in Business 2026 book, which will be available on Amazon.com in November 2025.

What the Expert Council Is Looking For

The Expert Council will review entries based on the following criteria:

• Quality of product or service

• Business leadership and vision

• Market innovation

• Community impact.
