Air transports included patients with life-threatening traumatic injuries secondary to high-speed vehicle crashes, gun violence, boating accidents, heart attacks, strokes, and hospital-to-hospital Critical Care transfers to northern counties of critically ill patients that required specialty care not available at Monroe County hospitals. His exemplary service earned him the Flight Nurse of the Year Award in 2018 and the Phoenix Award seven times between 2018 and 2019.
