The Raisner Group Receives Recognition For Historic Restoration Project

New York City, New York Dec 13, 2024 (Issuewire.com) - The Raisner Group, a privately-held, integrated real estate operating and investment company headquartered in New York City and focused on the Borough of Brooklyn, announces that it received recognition for a historic restoration and preservation project for the second year in a row.

The property, located in the Bushwick neighborhood, was extensively featured in the 2024 Best of Brooklyn Real Estate Showcase organized by the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce at The Refinery at Domino, a water-fronting event space located inside the formerly the historic Domino Sugar Factory in Williamsburg.

The project marks the company's latest contribution to the North Central Brooklyn residential landscape. The Raisner Group acquired a vacant and dilapidated mixed-use property and undertook an extensive restoration to bring it back to its full potential, with the goal of keeping it in harmony with its immediate surroundings, highlighting its charm and strengthening its classic 'Bushwick' look.

The Raisner Group undertook a full gut rehabilitation of the property and upgraded all aspects of it. It was careful in preserving the architectural details of the property, including its façade and cornice. The propertys interior was upgraded to modern standards using energy-efficient LED-lights and switching from gas to all-electric appliances and heating/cooling systems. The buildings carbon footprint was highly reduced.  The company also created outdoor decks for residents to benefit from private terraces.

The project contributed to the local community as The Raisner Group solely hired local workers, suppliers and vendors and generated numerous contracts for local MWBE or immigrant-owned firms.

The 2024 Best of Brooklyn Real Estate Showcase is bringing together real estate and development professionals, Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce members, and the community to celebrate the remarkable achievements of the real estate industry within the last year.  This year, Jim Whelan, President of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), was the Keynote Speaker.
